Peoria’s largest easter egg hunt, will take place on Sunday, April 1, 2012, in the Dogwood Pavilion in Detweiller Park. Activities such as face painting, games, and an inflatable from Fun on the Run, will start at 1:00 p.m. The Easter Bunny will make an appearance for pictures and to start the egg hunts at 2:30 p.m. A free event for children and family with prizes, candy and a really good time!

Fifteen thousand eggs, carefully stuffed with candy by the Easter Bunny and his helpers, will be distributed in four different areas of the park to correspond with the four new age groups. Kids will be grouped together by age into four different age groups, 0-2 year olds, 3-4 year olds, 5-7 year olds and 8-9 year olds.
